Hello everyone....yes I am still alive! Has been a long time since I have posted to my blog and boy does it feel good to be back, and what better way to re enter the blogging world than a post soley dedicated to my Middle Child! Yes you know the one.....the one with the Uber Awesome, Totally Crazy, Rocket Red, Kinky Curly hair......Fletcher!!
So I now see why there is a middle child syndrome. I have been working on a special scrapbook for a for the most dedicated and loved pediatrician in our valley....since before christmas....which was intended to be a christmas gift....but that is beside the point right? Anyways, I finally thought I was done with it and was going to deliver it when I realized something was missing......this is where you say "OMG....Fletcher!" Well actually it was all my children, but it would have been much more climactic to the post if it was just Fletcher. So it really did come down to the fact that I had taken both the girls out for special photosessions just for this project, but I hadn't taken my Boy!! I really count my blessings that Fletcher has the personality that he does because no matter how busy I am with the baby or his older sister and all her activities.....there is no way he would be forgotten.
Here are a few examples of why I smile on a daily basis just thinking about my baby boy.
1: The words he uses for everyday objects is all his own but very practical, like I will never get into my car and grab my steering wheel without knowing that it isn't really a steering wheel it is a "driver".....and really if you think about it it does do the driving. And I will never see the Macy's thanksgiving day parade, or apple blossom, or blue thunder at the Seahawks with out thinking that those drum players use some pretty fancy "bammers" to do their "bamming" on their instruments. And those are just a few examples from the Fletcher book of Terms!
2: Everytime I drive by McDonalds....yes I have taken my kids to McDonalds and of course hope....like most good moms that sneak in a McDonalds trip here and there..... that when we are at playdates they don't mention it.....It doesn't happen often but every once in a while we just need a trip to "old McDonalds had a farm" where they have "Chicken Nuggets" and "Cows" that say "MOOOOOOO" (always said so loud that cows come running from 3 counties away)!
3: His hair....I mean really....I have learned how to Afro that noggin up so big that he can wear a "big boy hat" because that is the only kind of hat allowed on the tractor! So I learned from the enormous screaming/wailing/flopping mess that transpired in front of me one day when I tried to put on a different hat.
4: His random "Merry Christmas Mommy" and "Happy Birthday Mommy" that really does pop out anytime he sees fit.
5: His Crazy...Just like me....Martin sense of Humor.....this is the boy that we were able to put a staulk of Celery in front of him with three candles on it for his birthday while everyone else had a cupcake.....and amazingly all he did was look at his celery....after vigorously blowing out the candles of course.....looked at everyone else eating chocolate cupcakes, back to his green goodness, and said, while pointing, "Um....are there anymore of those" "I think I want one of those". Although, he will probably be scarred for life now.....at least when it comes to celery and birthdays and end up with an unhealthy obsession with cupcakes....he is the only one of my kids that I could even think of playing such a trick on.....because I know that he will some day find the great....slightly twisted....humor in such an event.
Ok so enough with the ramble session about my mini me here are the pictures!
