Finally able to post this. Have been trying for a month now and haven't been able to upload photos. Am definitely going to be doing some back blogging in the next week.
From the day I met my husband it was painfully obvious that he was big into his yearly elk hunting trip. In the beginning it was great for me. One to two weeks of me time to do fun things like completely redesign our house one room at a time. I always planned things David wasn't to sure about, so then he had no say. So far he has liked all of my projects. Just wait until he comes home and there is a pool in the back yard or a pasture with some horses in it. Might not be so happy with those!
Anyways....after having kids the whole idea of David being gone for a week or two changed. In so many word it sucked. Only because of work. When you have to be at work at 0645 and you have an hours drive...well you can imagine the disaster of child care at these hours. After attempting it for a year I decided I needed attitude adjustment, from there on out I decided to take the week or weeks off and take my babies on our own hunting trip.....to the ocean.
This year was so fun because Fletcher was old enough to do more on the beach than eat sand. Not sure what the attraction was, but after handfulls when I wasn't looking, I figured it must not be to horrible tasting. But let me tell you....the diapers were interesting. Lots of grit! LOTS of grit!
This is the first installment of pictures from our adventures at the beach this year. Mud, mud, mud, mud, mud, and seagull chasing!
After making sure to pack many beach toys and bags to go beach combing, seagull stalking seemed to be the biggest hit and it is free. Well I suppost not free from anxiety by the seagulls....or at least the kids would like to think so. Fletcher kept saying "I scare him...I scare him...shhhhh".
