Being home sick with a icky cold and a sick baby girl gives me no excuse to not get some blog catchup done, so a little late but still fun..here is halloween.
A couple of posts ago I talked about our yearly trip to long beach. Well, every year, so far, we have been there for halloween. The first year I didn't bring costumes because I wasn't sure what to expect and couldn't find anything that said if the town was doing anything. Stupid me! When we got there everyone was dressed up and the front desk had handed out candy to all the visitors, so any kids staying could go trick or treating. Fletcher, being only 1 year, didn't really care, but Finley...well that was a different story. We almost went trick or treating in a super scary costume...beach tourist, but in the end I ended up distracting her with popcorn and a movie. No rerun this year! I was ready! Costumes...check. Trick or treat bags.....check. And camera.....of coarse!!
So after planning ahead and making sure we were ready and the kids were super excited, we get there and it didn't take me long to wonder if the staff at the condos had forgotten about Halloween. Yep, nothing going on! Great.... what are we going to do now, right? And there is no way a movie and popcorn was going to work this year. So we ended up packing up and finding some great halloween fun down town long beach!!
Because i am having issues with my computer, none of these pictures are edited, but they are still fun. Finley was a very helpful big sister this year and was instrumental in getting Fletcher into his costume!

I can only imagine what they are thinking in this picture. Finley "are you exhausted, I am". Fletcher "Yeah, it is hard work caring around an extra ten pounds of chicken costume". Finley "yeah and these antenna balls are really annoying falling in my face all the time. Lets go back to the condo and work on a sugar high", Fletcher "YaaaaaaH".
Now I didn't actually hear the conversation, but after sitting there for about two minutes both of them got up and went running. They really didn't last much longer and before we new it, we were all in the car with a crying chicken and a dozing butterfly! Sugar High followed and no one slept that night!
